Actually... I remember the jominy test from some of my material science classes about 12 years ago, the jist of it is to determine the hardenability of steels.
I heard Sam bought a bidet at an estate sale so he could set up a jominy test lab in his shop.
Ok, some questions for those in the know. Is there a standard temp for the water in this type of testing? Also, During the hardness testing, is it ordinary to leave the bar loose in the fixture like that? The one end lifting up seems like it might affect the readings.
