All,
I am putting up for sale a fine bowie by Jon Christensen. Here are the details:
Blade Length: 10-5/8", Overall:16"
Blade: Edge Hardened 5160
Guard and Pommel: Case Hardened Damascus with Blackened Brass Fittings
Handle: Desert Ironwood
Sheath: Hand stitched Cowhide
The price is $850.
Jon Christensen won both the 2003 George Peck award (for best knife submitted for the JS test) and the 2006 B. R. Hughes award (for the best knife submitted to the MS test). His work is of impeccable quality.
This knife is light and fast, but with a long blade. The sheath can be worn either on the belt or by using a frog. The photo doesn't show it, but you can remove the belt loop and just keep the sheath and frog - pretty cool set up.
