I have seen knives from these brothers on here a couple of times, as well as seeing them around here a couple of times. Do they have a web site? I ran across a picture that I had saved from a thread on here. It is of a neck knife, and etched on the blade is Jones Knives, and Danville Virginia. (Hmmm... neck knife... could that picture have been by the4th)

Anyway, I was just wondering. Danville is practically on my way (I think) to NC when I go down to visit.

rockspyder,

No, we do not have a website. We are working on one (the planning stages at present). We hope to have one up soon.

You can see some examples of our work here:

Oh Yeah, Danville is right on the VA/NC border. We are about 50 miles north of Greensboro,NC. If you are ever in the area, stop by (give us a call first) and we will talk knives.

Do you hear that?
That is the sound of inevitability.

Is this it? I picked this sweet little knife up a few months ago:

Senator,
Phillip and I have not heard the first thing about any of our neck knives being in BLADE
magazine.

If it is true, then we are very excited.

That's the one, Senator. What type of steel?

Barry, nice knives! Danville is not TOO far from where I grew up, and where my mom still lives. So, maybe the next time I go down to visit, I can set up a time to drop by.

Oh yeah, Senator, see my email response for where I'm going.

Outstanding!!! Those are some fine knives Barry and Philip!! Did you two actually invent the flat grind, or just perfect it??

Take care!! Michael

Hey All!
Your kind words are very much appreciated.

L6 - We just do our best. It has taken 12 years of practice to get to this point.

Senator - Thanks for the scanned article. The pic in BLADE is unexpected but welcome.

rockspyder - We try to keep that neck knife in stock (ATS-34). You are welcome to come by the shop if you are ever in the area. That goes for all of you.

Dr. Lathe,
Thanks for the compliment. That reverse tanto is ground on both sides and not chisel ground. Pictures can be deceiving.

I am the proud owner of a model 27 hawkbill/reverse tanto. It is an outstanding knife.I think the Jones Brothers are really onto something new with it`s design.Great quality at a good price, and good turnaround. That`s a triple threat. They are great to work with.
