Jose "Pepe" Jalomo

Can any owners of Jose Jalomo's creations speak to their experiences with the knives? His quality appears to be excellent, I would be curious to hear opinions

As far as Pepe's quality is concerned, he's a very competent knife maker. And as he says if he has a problem
he calls Pena for help, they leave very close to one another. His MLC shown on the previous page is a BullDog, well built and Super Tough.

This thread has plenty of great knives by @pepej but not nearly as many as I know are out there.

Here are some photos of a Jalomo Native that found its way into my pocket last weekend. I was out on our property doing a walk around, seeing what might appear as the snow was melting. The ice was just beginning to break up, enough that my dog Parker was trying to get into the little bit of water between shore and lake ice.

I found some shade and decided to take some pics of the knife, which by the way sits very nicely in a front pocket:

Parker decided to come over for a look, taking a break from chasing muskrat and wondering what I was up to.

Then a pair of wood ducks caught his attention and he completely forgot about me.

I must've take a dozen pictures to get these and he kept standing at attention, never moving, watching Lord knows what. I thought Parker made an excellent backdrop for a very nice knife, then I noticed that I was standing only a few feet away from an ancient ironwood tree and - though the desert ironwood on this knife is a world apart from the ironwood growing in the Northwoods - it made the whole thing even more perfect.

Thanks for wading through my Jalomo picture story. If you have one of his great knives be sure to take some pics and post them here!

That Jalomo Native Ironwood is real nice. Pepe does nice work and we should show more of his great work. I have a Jalomo swayback that I haven’t carried yet and just keep in my safe. If I remember tomorrow I will take it out and take a couple pictures and show it off.

Thanks, I'd love to see that swayback!

I'm not the greatest at taking pictures, here's a Jalomo green micarta swayback, nice F&F, good snap and just right for me to open and close

I like it! I'm always a sucker for Wharncliffe blades and that one is very nicely done.

Thank you, I wasn't looking for a wharncliffe blade, green or micarta but when I saw this knife I had to have it. Hopefully we sparked this thread, Pepe deserves it and I'll be keeping an eye out for more of his work.

Pepe does an incredible job. The Lanny’s Clip i had from him was miles ahead of other markers at the same price point.
