This may be a bit long winded so bear with me ...

I know many members have dealt with Josh at REK Sharpening ... and I have had him recommended to me by many ... he does beautiful work.

But I wanted to share something that to me he went above and beyond and I can't thank him enough.

A few of you know my fathers been battling cancer and unfortunately he is getting weaker and I fear this may be our last holidays together so I've been trying to make them special and get all the family and friends around we can.

Well to get to Josh's role in this ... my nephew my father's grandson opened his own landscaping business and of course grandpa couldn't be more proud. So he asked me what could we possibly get him as a Christmas gift and a celebratory gift for opening his business? ... My nephew picked up his love of the outdoors and fishing , hunting, camping, and of course knives so I helped dad pick out a CRK/ Wilson Combat Large Inkosi ... and we got it and of course a nice edge but wanted it to be something special.

So I contacted Josh and asked him if there were any possibility that he could fit in the Inkosi and rework the edge profile and sharpen it for use for my nephew with his new business. And Josh didn't hesitate when I told him the situation he said send it and he'd get it done and back in time.

Well true to his word he received it Friday ... it's done and on its way back for Christmas today!!!

It may not be a huge thing to many but I can't thank Josh enough for taking time and the extra effort he put out to do this for our family.

I've met some really good people and had some really talented people do some reprofiling or mods for me and all have been great.

But I just wanted to share this with everyone and to say Thank You to Josh ... wish I could shake his hand ... you've made my fathers Christmas wish come true and words can't say what that means to our family.

As i continue to say::: Simply the best around..I use no one else for sharpening to mods..

Thanks for telling us this great story brother and I hope you guys have a fantastic Christmas! I’m sure it will be and it will give you and your family many unforgettable memories!!

Thanks Joe ... I've had the priviledge of having Jason B and now Josh do a bit of work for me ... both have been excellent.

But I wanted to share what Josh did ... It really was great how he just said send it and he git it done and it'll be here for Christmas ... you don't find much of that anymore ... but means alot to us.

And I'll be sure n raise one for dad and Josh and the great folks I've met here.

Your Dad seems like a great guy, JJ_Colt45 JJ_Colt45 , to be thinking of others when his own situation is so difficult. I remember so well my last year with my Dad in home hospice and what we were able to share up to the time of his passing. I miss him, of course, but remember him now as he was before illness took him, and, while he's gone, the love remains. I'll keep a good thought for you, your Dad, and family.

...and, yes, Josh does super work and is just the best to deal with....
 
Thanks for the message ChazzyP ... it is difficult but as he has his whole life lead by example and we are blessed to get the holidays with him ... and who knows what Gods plan is after that.

But we are spending the time we can laughing remembering all the good and he was as excited to see the knife come back from Josh as his grandson will be opening it tomorrow.

I just wanted to take a minute to add a couple quick pictures (sorry the quality isn't the best) of the CRK/Wilson Combat Large Inkosi I had Josh rework and sharpen for my father to give to his grandson (my nephew) for Christmas ...
