Thanks for sharing.
I spent quite a bit of time there in the late 80's and I'd say it's one of the most beautiful places in the US.

Nice, I always liked the desert (from a distance). I liked the stitched pan-am shot. Very cool (or hot)....

Great pics. I love that whole area, haven't been there in about 5 years but it's awesome.

I think the Wilderness & Survival Skills forum is the best on bladeforums. For the outdoor pictures like this are truly amazing! Nice pix soft!!!

Really nice photography Big Skies!
Son was there last year Tells me I should go there for a looksee. After seeing your post Im thinking he may right
Those heliographics in the cave are those the same place as the marker sign in your pictures? (Ryan Mountain)
Thanks for taking the time to post

Great Pics! The dam has waaaaaaay more water in it now compared to when I was there not long ago. Good to see.

dboles, those Petroglyphs are off the hiking trail of the Barker Dam Loop. Very cool to see, but unfortunately not in their original state. The Petroglyphs themselves are real, but the boldness and color are from the days of Western Movies being filmed out there. They were colored in to show up better on camera. There are other Petroglyphs in the park that are untouched an original... I think there are some at Coyote Hole?

Thanks for the pics, I love that place! Isn't that a great hike up Ryan Mountain?

Great pictures, thanks for sharing. Although I have no desire to visit (can't stand heat), it certainly looks like a beautiful place.

This is a great time of year to visit. It's in the 50's-60's range.

Definitely. When I was there last.... oh hell I guess it is coming up on two years already.... in March it was low 60's as most during the day and mid 20's at night.

Thanks for sharing the pictures. They are great. Never been to the desert but your pictures make it look so inviting. Thanks again.

awesome pics man.. i like Joshua Tree.. i have done a lot of climbing there in the past...

Gotta love the Mohave desert!!
There are two types of desert ecosystem in Joshua Tree, Mohave and Colorado. The coolest part is the crisp distinction when leaving one and entering the other.
Nice pics! My first born was named, in part, after Joshua Tree. It is definitely a place that everyone needs to see. I've had trips there when it snowed on me and got into the 90's within a couple of days. Keeps you on your toes.
