Just went on a short (Mon-Weds) camping trip to Joshua Tree National Park with some of the guys I work with. The days were very mild. The high was around 58, but the nights were CHILLY and dropped into the 20s. Did a little bit of hiking and a lot of enjoying the scenery. The high desert is absolutley beautiful. We were too early, but in about a month or so this desert will be exploding in bloom, an amazing sight to see.

Windmills in the Palm Springs area.

My buddy Doug taking some pics of some petroglyphs. The petroglyphs are real, their color is not. They were painted over decades ago when westerns were filmed here so they would show up better on camera.

The only knife I managed to take a pic of while I was there, though I brought a few with me.

Beautuiful Pics Man, There is something very raw about that place. I always wanted to go there.. Maybe someday...

I'm thing of going out there in April - can you tell me about the RV camping there?
Any facilities - toilets, water etc?
Thanks

Brings back memories for me when I was at "The Stumps". It is an absolutely wonderful place to be outside.

Great pictures. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful pics! I haven't been to Joshua Tree since scouts, even though it's not that far away. i need to get back there.

Of all the environments, deserts look like they would kill me the fastest, but they certainly are beautiful. Maybe one day I can get out to the PCT and embrace the deserts some . Kind of a face your fears thing.

Great pics!

Wow, great pics bro! Nothing like that up my way... Beautiful over there!

Awsome pics. You got another desert lover here. Been to the high sierra and other places but the desert would always be the closest to my heart.
