I'm going to be visiting Helsinki, Finland in a few months and I was going to see if there was anything I could afford from JT Palikko's forge.
Just want to know if anyone here has gotten a knife made by him and how much it cost?
Or even if you know what a simple-designed puukko would cost?
I know his prices are very high, but his knives are beautiful and functional. I'm in contact with him and he offered to custom make one for me. By the time I travel there, my budget for spending on a knife will probably be $400 USD.
My roots are in Helsinki, so it is of sentimental value for me to get a knife from the area my family lived.
