While I've had nothing but positive experiences on the bladeforums exchange, there is one member who in particular stands out to me: Jtoler_9. Recently I purchased a Gayle Bradley from him, and he was exceptionally communicative and detailed. The knife was shipped out promptly and our deal was off to a great start...
And then the single thing we all dread most happens: USPS lost the knife. The knife was humming along through Utah, and then disappeared for four days before arriving in Philadelphia. By then, the package was three days overdue for delivery, according to the delivery confirmation. After the knife missed its estimated delivery, Jtoler_9 was quick to respond to my email suggesting that it had been lost, and offered to immediately call USPS and file a claim. When it still hadn't moved the next day, he filed a claim with USPS and offered to keep following up on it (which he did). Along the way, he was incredibly communicative, providing me with every update he could and doing his damnedest to get the knife to me.
Presently the knife is "departing the sorting facility" in NJ, and has been that way for three days. Jtoler_9 once again called USPS for me and had them elevate the status of the claim, and is also offering to refund my money until the knife arrives, and when it arrives to offer a refund if the knife is not satisfactory.
I knew it was only a matter of time before I encountered a problem with USPS, and I'm glad that I had Jtoler_9 along to assist me as it did. I couldn't ask for a more courteous and responsive seller. I would wholeheartedly recommend him to any member, and am gracious for his outstanding service and commitment
