July 2024 BOTM - 250 Saunter, 154CM Drop Point, America CamoCarbon Carbon Fiber Handle

My Saunter showed up yesterday! Saunters, actually. I've been stiff-arming this modern slipjoint since it came out but this BOTM pushed me off top dead center so I bought the regular Micarta clip-point as well. I prefer the clip point, and Micarta looks good with character marks so I can set the BOTM aside and not worry about scratching up the amazing iridescent carbon fiber. One of you guys with good photography skills needs to post a video of the light dancing off those scales to really do it justice. Pictures just don't tell the whole story. And whoever was doing the final sharpening on these BOTM and the regular Saunter I bought was really on their game that day!

I'll have to get some pictures of my new BOTM.

I completely forgot to post mine when it came in.

First thoughts when I opened the box... "Holy hell this is ugly!" 😂 🤣

The blade looks too small for the rather full-sized handle, and the scales are a bit... Loud. But after holding it, I did a completely 180. The knife is ridiculously comfortable in hand. The ergonomics, plus the size/shape of the blade just feels right. It's a fairly stout blade for a traditional knife. but still cuts very well. It'll be nice to have a stouter traditional knife that can handle some tougher jobs. The swedge only being on one side looks a bit different, but is growing on me. I'm not the biggest fan of the lanyard hole, but I can live with it. The scales are well done, and look significantly better in person. Especially when you handle the knife and it catches the light.

I'm pretty pleased with this one. :)

Just order one of these.
Had in my cart for a day and they sent me 20% off code. Had to order it.
I had a very early one and was disappointed with qc. So looking for good stuff on this little church knife.
Cody.

I really like the blade shape. What I'd call Spear Point more than Drop Point, toss that in a 112 shell with the Micarta and I'd have had no choice.
