Jumping In: My Becker Pile Is Growing

I strapped this monstrosity together today:

Practical? Not really.
Awesome? Heck yeah.

Very awesome. That's the TurDuckEn of piggyback rigs, perhaps it should be nicknames the three little pigs. :jerkit: (except the 4 and 15 aren't so little). Enjoy!

If you like the strapping system you did, it might be a good idea to look at the piggyback systems that are out there for kydex... I've been eyeing them for over a year now but I haven't the funds for my mods I want yet.. :/ still focusing on the rest of my wilderness swag

Unless you're going for a custom sheath, you may want to leave that lock on the 14 sheath. IIRC thay's the only retention the new sheath style has, and removing it would most likely cause the knife to fall out.

Congrats on the new steel!

haha I gotta say, I'm coming to realize it's cumbersome.

Where do you suggest I look?

Yeah, I thought that it was friction/fit retention. It has some retention, but not totally satisfactory. Unfortunately I couldn't break the thread locker and ended up cutting it off. I will either make a pocket sheath myself or buy one.

Funny story also, I was in a huge hurry to get to work the other day and set this sheath on top of my truck. Apparently I drove off with it on top, because after work I realized I didn't have it. Turns out it flew off my truck and landed in the ditch in my driveway, with the 14 about 10 feet away. It got some scuffs on the handles, scrapes on the buttons, and a little rust but it's alright.

Tsk-tsk. Maybe you're not ready for Becker ownership yet. Maybe you need something to practice being responsible on first. Like a dog or a child. :D

Levels of Responsibility:

Dog
Child
Becker

haha well it gave me a good excuse to put a new edge on them all, so at least they're nice and sharp now.

Damn Beckers. I just ordered another Tops.....(Cochise), and I already know I'll pull it out, and admire it, and think of all of the cool stuff this blade will be great for. And then when I go out to use it, that will last about 10 minutes, and I'll grab one of my Beckers and hit the trail.

Went to a show after finals, got drunk, danced, then went back to girlfriends place and...Ordered knives??? WTF???!!! When I was in college got drunk at a show and went back to GF's place we didn't call it ordering knives:D Just messing with you man.. Good call on the new steel.

Hahaha well, at that time my gf didn't do any real "knife ordering" if you catch my drift. Haha but now I have to keep from ordering a 2, 9, 5, 16, New 15, 11, man you name it.

Yes! I concur, (Excitement+Inebreation)= Knife Purchase. I have some work to do here:redface:
