June BOTM???

I'm thinking that some (who were quick on the draw) probably bought two....will sell one for double in a month and get their other one pretty much for free.....:(.....ahh well.

I wasn’t interested in this one but the one’s that I did want went fast like the elk handled 303 about 2 years ago. If I remember correctly I think there were 100 made and they went in less than an hour. I missed it by less than one minute probably seconds. After that I set my login to instant auto fill so I didn’t have to type it in manually. I’ve seen some priced at $250+ on an auction site by a familiar name and apparently they had 4-5 on hand to sell one at a time. I don’t know how they can do that without having more than one account because of a limit of three per customer. I think when there’s 100 or less there needs to be a limit of one per customer and then maybe one more for every 100 pieces to a max of three so that others can have a chance. This is one reason I avoid some collectors as they are more into capital gain than enjoyment of collecting and seeing others enjoy a good knife and having one as well. Unless I’m getting one as a gift for someone else I only buy one and be satisfied with it.

The price was good on this 119. I placed my order, but I must have been on the end of the sale. I never got the confirmation.

I wish there was a way for BCCI members to get in line and have a chance for some of the Web sold knives. But every thing I think of would be a hassle for Buck to do. It used to bother me quite a bit years ago when most of the build out 112's went to resellers before most of us even knew they were out..but I got over it.

I was heading out the door and got the email. Picked up a couple.
I just got home from camping g and cleaned the RV. Everything was going great. My youngest son invited his GF and they went to town for a bit. Meanwhile my parents were at Camp and later that evening headed out. 5 min later my dad was rolling thru the campground honking his horn. My sons GF rolled her car just up the road and my son had crawled out and was helping his GF out the window as the car was upside down. Just a couple of bumps and scrapes so they were lucky. SIGH. My son was calm and collective during that. Proud of him.Attach3036_20200628_134334.jpg Attach3037_20200628_134334.jpg Attach3034_20200628_134305.jpg

Thank God they are ok. How did she manage the stunt work with the car?
Hard pack with loose gravel were the road conditions. On coming traffic was in the middle of the road. I take it she moved to the right and tired started to get off the edge of the road. Over correcting back and forth and car swapped ends bit into the ditch and flipped. The S skid marks confirmed this as far as I can tell. We used our AAA and got the car towed 200 plus miles back to her place.

Mike glad no one was harmed badly. scary event. good for your son, sounds like he handed it well.
I can imagine them both upside down in their seat belts. She was out for a few so he released his belt and the only window he could get out was the drivers side. He squeezed out then she was coming around and helped her out,

Proud of him for sure. 19 yrs old.

Glad both are OK. Just from my limited time out lately, it seems that there are more people on the roads now that think everyone has to watch out for them. They feel that they can drive where and how they like. I'm more concerned about being on the roads than contracting COVID 19.

Glad to hear that your son and his GF are doing ok. Just curious, did the oncoming vehicle(s) stop and offer any assistance after the accident?

Yes, they did stop. I didn't know what happened by the time thry left or I would of asked them questions about their interpretation.
