So I just got done EDC'ing the Junglas necker, and here are my thoughts on it...
It obviously brings to the table a lot of capabilities in an EDC knife. I mean, while I'm working in the restaurant, if the power goes out, I could real quick go outside and chop down a tree, baton a bunch of wood, make a fire, and keep on cooking. And if the Zombie hordes come to the restaurant, I could probably fend off many of them while my guests get to safety.
The downsides, or cons, to the Junglas necker actually surprised me a little bit. First of all, the SIZE. I mean the shear size of this knife proved to be problematic for use in neck knife carry. I mean, not only was it very difficult to conceal, it also actually inhibited my movement a little, and even made such tasks as bending over and using the bathroom slightly difficult. This has NEVER happened with my Izula.
Also, the WEIGHT! This thing is a brute around your neck, and I would have never guessed it would be so taxing over the course of a day. I mean, it's only about 400 times the size of my Izula, but compared to like... I don't know, a car, it's really not that big, right?
All in all, it's all about what capabilities you are looking for in a knife, and there are always trade-offs. Do you want a neck knife that is easily concealable, light weight, and limited in it's capabilities? Or do you want an EDC knife that is a tiny bit heavier and larger in exchange for hog killing Zombie horde defeating power?
It's up to you, but I know which one I choose...
