Junglas, Lite Machete?

the only problem i've had with my lite machete was chopping cured osage orange. it was like chopping rocks. chipped/dented about an inch of the blade. the junglas did just fine on it.
i'm more confident in the junglas for batonning, and it's chopped anything i've needed it to, but for weeds, thin brush and such, the lite machete is awesome. it chops green limbs just fine, but not really better than the junglas.
the junglas is heavier, but more packable, if only for the great sheath it comes with.

yeah, get both :D

I wouldn't expect that from a properly heat treated blade.I worked down some cured Osage bow staves just a couple days ago with my Condor Eco Lite with no edge problems.I was making long slicing cuts though not full force perpendicular chops.

As I would like to have both..!!! I don't. So Just from going out in very different landscapes, In thick woods with heavy branches (say north woods in upper US/Canada). And for building a very strong shelter, and spliting wood. The Junglas all the way. If your down in say Fla. Lou. glades type swampy grounds, all the small vines, broadleaf plants and thorns to chug through, then its really the Machete's turn. It mostly would depend on where you live, where you go the most, and where you intend to spend most of your outdoor time? The landscape will pick the blade for ya. Although here in Wisc. where I am at the moment, the Junglas Rules!! Out west in badlands= Junglas, Me going to fart around in Fla. looking at wildlife in far places, the Machete rules. Just comes down to where you go the most. So for all this yakin...get both!! They are affordable, well built, and don't fail, so go for both, and go where you want. Thats how I see it anywhos. enjoy edgy.
Oh I do own a Junglas, just don't have the lite machete..yet

eh, it sharpened right out. it was from full force chops on about a 3" diameter limb. got about half way through before i noticed the damage, and switched to the junglas.
