Has anyone had any experience of the Junglee Venom? The blade looks quite similar in design to the Endura. ATS-34 steel though.
It looks nice....what are your views?

Hey Steve :

I have the Junglee "Yakuza" ( tanto fixed blade ) and I think they are the most underrated blades made ; razor sharp & priced right!
Go for the Venom ( it's been un-officially adopted by the U.S.Army ;))

Well did you get the Venom?? If so tell us what you think of it. I put mine in the knife roll for the moment but intend on carrying it. But it falls in to that catagory of needing a CWP just to be safe.

I think also that its out of production and I'm looking for another if I can score a decent deal but I've only found a couple out there without the serrated blade. I should just go ahead and drop the $90 that it'll take with shipping but....I guess I'll keep on shopping. I wouldn't mind a lightly used Venom to carry and I'll just store away the NIB one I have now.

I thought I'd bring this thread back up and see if any of you guys have have got yourself a Venom? I still have not bought another one and the one I do have is still tucked away....guess I'm still looking for that lightly used one to put in the EDC rotation.

So here is a picture of this beauty:

Thumb Hole in Blade 3-15/16" Blade and 8-7/8" overall Blade is ATS 34 Stainless Steel and this knife weighs 4.7 oz. Junglee Armed Forces Series knives are designed to surpass the rigorous mission requirements of the armed forces. The blades are made of ATS-34 and black Teflon coated for anti-glare, ease of cleaning and extra resistance to corrosion. The handles are perfectly sculpted to fit in the hand and the soft Kraton inlays prevent slippage. Black metal pocket clip. Can be opened with a gloved hand!

Don't all you Spydie guys wish Spyderco was still offering a 4" blade with that profile?

3G,

The Para is a great knife but its profile looks a little lumpy compared to the Venom. Look again,

The original Endura profile was what I was thinking about yesterday:

Flatlander1963,

Thanks for the closer pic. The Para, however, only has a 3.25" blade. I was talking about the full-sized Military (4" blade). Upon closer inspection of your picture, the blade profile of the Venom does appear to more resemble that of the older Enduras than the full flat-ground Military, though the older Enduras didn't have as much 'belly' as the Venom appears to.

I'd say the now discontinued Spyderco Scorpious has a similar looking blade profile to the Venom, but the blade length is much closer to 3" than 4":

3G,

The Police is similar also but thinner in the belly as well.
There is just something appealing to me about the Venom's blade profile.
It looks like it would be very good performing it intended job description.
Anyway, to bad nobody else has one as I'd love to hear a review.

The search for a lightly used one goes on....
