I just got the start of what I believe will make a serviceable grinder. It was a yard sale score for 3 bucks. Someone made a bench grinder out of an old table saw, a pair of pillow blocks, and a shaft tithe a pulley and two grinding wheels. I plan on building a 2x72 grinder out of this. I'd like to see some of your grinders for inspiration. Home made grinders would be preferred, but if you want to post up some pics of commercial made grinders, that will be cool too.

Thanks a bunch guys!

My knife grinder Dad and I built... 23.5" glued, screwed and trued plywood wheel wrapped in 78" x 2" roll abrasive. 3/4 hp 1750 rpm motor 5:1 ratio for 350 RPM and approx 2200 SFPM. Independant articulated guides...THIS THING ROCKS!
