I was finally able to get out on a couple hour hike, it was much needed. Brought along my Koster bushcrafter and my Goode trailsman. I was by myself so I didn't get any action shots.

Both knives have excellent geometry and could slice paper thin curls of wood. I used the Koster more, I just couldn't bring myself to scratch up the finish on the Goode. Yet!

I sat and carved with the Koster for at least half an hour, and the edge still feels unused. It's a razor.

It was a fun day with some awesome knives.

I have heard a few great reviews on the kosters edge holding abilities, is it hard to sharpen?

those are some cool knives T.... i really like brian goode's work...

i just got my koster bushcraft knife yesterday....:D as soon as i'm able(darn knee), i'll get out to the woods to play a bit....:o

Sweet! I just ordered my Koster Bushcraft yesterday. I love Brian's blade designs as well. I have to get one of his Camp Diggers someday.

Thanks guys. Don't know yet how the 3V will be on sharpening, I think it will stay sharp for a good long while! Its such a cool little knife. The Trailsman is a beast but feels great in hand.

I'm not certian, but I think that your trailsman is the perfect knife.

How long did you have to wait to get one of those.

I just got my name on the list for Brian's WSK (:D:D:D:D:D:thumbup:).
I was told approximately 18 months.

I waited a little over a year, it was worth it too. Brian does excellent work.
