I recently ran across a beautiful looking Ulster Barlow at a local pawnshop shop. And the first thing I thought about was your fine looking examples. The handles look great but there is of course some blade wear. He's asking thirty bucks does that sound fair?..... Never mind, I just talked myself into it. :D..Thanks. If it's still there tomorrow it's Mine. :p

Welcome, GE! Some really nice ones that require more info:D:thumbup: That Miller Bros is smoking hot! And...the stag...wow! Post more pics if you please as i would love to see them open, if your of a mind:D You have my curiosity up on the brand of each piece

Thanks fellows.Gevonovich kept taunting me with those pics and After three trips to the pawn shop I finally brought it home. . The main blade has no spring to it and I don't know if it's worth having someone "fixing" it or should I just leave it as is?

Welcome Ge. From what I can tell, That's some very nice looking blades you have there.

Thanks Gevonovich! Left to right: Sabre Ireland, LF&C, Miller Bros (4-1/4"!), Ulster Scout, Ulster Barlow, stag knife is a Mundy pen...don't know much about it...was a gift. Blades sharpened to half their original size, but cleaned & shined up pretty, though. The LF&C, and Miller Bros were found at flea markets that were not 10 miles from their places of manufacture

That's too bad about the spring in the main. I think it's probably not worth the expense to get it fixed unless its of sentimental value or you just want to do it. It really depends on whats wrong with it..oil it up and work the blade and see if the back spring is moving and its not the tang on the blade thats worn down from no one oiling the joints. That's a start ...lets us know.

GE
Thank you so much for the information. So neat you found those two so close to their birth place. I bet there is more treasure to be found in your area. I love the Miller Bros! I've not heard of Mundy...huh

Lovely picture once again. Great coins too. The lantana is in bloom here as well.:D

Sorry, photo quality's not the best, but I found this while going through some old photos for something different. A bit of carbon steel and curly birch.
