Exactly what I was thinking ! Kris, that is, to me, right up there with the crème de la crème. Just phenomenal !! Pictured saved and I hope you put it in the Wondrous Whittler thread ;)

Thank you gentlemen, it did not go together without a fight, but Joel's perseverance prevailed. Really nice action to it, locks and unlocks smoothly. An extremely difficult pattern to get right.

Ah. I've got the congress. I couldn't tell from the angle of your pic that you had the whittler. Regardless of which model, GEC really knocked it out of the park with the 13 with the muslin micarta. I'd have gotten the whittler if they switched one of the pen blades with a coping blade. I love mine, although I haven't really carried it much. So slim and tight, but with no blade rub whatsoever. And I agree about the muslin micarta. It's like nothing I've ever seen, and I love the feel and look. Even the bolsters are different. I don't know if it's nickel silver or steel, but they put a brushed finish rather than their normal mirror polished. I dig it. I'd be carrying it more if I hadn't bought so many other knives lately. 48 Weasel and 48 improved trapper in bloodwood, ebony Case/Bose teardrop, a variety of Opinels, and of course my first custom, a Jim Dunlap mini trapper. So many knives, only so many pockets.
