Just A Picture - Traditional Picture Show

Found my SD card, here are two more of the Oeser Moose. This guy is tough to photo but thats part of the fun :)

Lots of nice variety in the pictures in this thread. Here are a few of my traditional military knives, I carried these at different times in my 32 year ARNG career.

US M-4 Imperial that was my Dad's (retired 1SG), he handed this one off to me in 1990.

Randall Combat Knife, this one was presented to me in 2003, near the end of my career - it has never been carried.

Kabar 1081 Stockman (you can barely see it in my left hand (cooking an MRE for lunch - at my boot, heating up). I carried this one from 1998 until 2005; it was with me for the V Corps Winter Exercise in Graf Germany, to a July/August rotation at the NTC at Fort Irwin CA, to OIF in 2003 -that little knife got around!

Kabar 1081 - just a little worse for the wear.

Without meaning to I've picked up a good number of ebony handled knives.

This stuff is insidious.

I forgot to mention how much we loved that photo. The moose, your pride and joy folder, both razor sharp blades opened half and ready framing your family that you hold dearest to you, who you would give your life for. Yeah, I loved, and still do, love that photo my friend!

Thanks trey999, that shot was from when it was new. When I can find my memory card it has a ton of shots still on it from my try at Kevins GAW that I have been meaning to post.

Do you ever actually carry it?

Paul

I absolutely do carry it! In the tool pocket of my Dickies & Carhartts. But, I usually go for the Barlow/GEC whatever smaller knife to clean my nails. :)

Great photos guys..
AM515 - That Spear point looks magnificent in the Red Bone - thank you!( and the matching Lady bug)

Thanks Duncan...a broken camera-phone was all I had at hand and I'm quite surprised myself at how it came out.

What do you use it for? It's a behemoth of a slipjoint!

Well, it's fishin' season, and I've been totin' it around in case I need a paddle! ;) Or in case I need to split some firewood! But mostly I like to show it off to my friends! It's a fun knife and an unusual pattern. Fits great in a cell phone pocket and then you have an excuse to leave yer phone on the desk!

Knives for old salts; Buck, Camillus, and Schrade. The Camillus and the Schrade-Walden served in the US Navy, the Buck is a civilian.
