Ratbert, thanks for showing the Boker, now I'll be keeping and eye out for one. A stainless in olive wood with that pattern and blade configuration is right up my alley. Nice gift, congrats!

You'll likely have to look on the used market. These were made in ~2014. Boker only made 500 of them. 250 were sold in EU. 250 in N. America.
I'd post a picture of mine, but Ratbert's pics are much better.

Knarfeng, this one is numbered 251. I think when you showed yours, it was the first I had heard of this series.
I like a large stockman, but have little use for a spey blade, so this is a great knife for me.

Excellent photography Ratbert!

Really love those photos Ratbert! Cool background for the knife.

Thanks, guys. I was hiking at a local nature center and a downed tree had this really picturesque fungi covering the limbs, so it made for a nice photo op.

Thanks for the info Frank. Did not know they were so limited, I just knew I liked everything about them. Definitely agree with you; Ratbert's photo is exceptional and has inspired me into a worthy quest.
Can someone share with me Boker's model number and closed length... and any other help locating one of these olive wood beauties would be greatly appreciated.

It’s a full sized stockman(~4 1/4”). If I remember correctly it is a stockman jack in the evergreen series. Someone had put one up in their annual Christmas gaw. When I saw the prize I immediately started tracking one down. It didn’t take long at all to find one.
And just so it doesn’t go unsaid, ratbert graciously offered to meet with me to give me all his old fishing gear when he read that I was getting into fly fishing. The guy met a complete stranger in the back of a grocery store parking lot to give him a bunch of free gear expecting nothing in return. Yet another example of why I hold this forum and it’s members in such high regard!
I know this thread is just for pictures, but I never did publicly thank him.
Ok, back to the pics.

They marketed them as part of "the evergreen series". There were four or five different patterns.
Essentially, the serpentine is a 4" stockman without a spey blade.

Thanks for the help gentlemen. Erik thanks for sharing your story. Always good to hear of the camaraderie here on the porch.

Like I told you, you helped put me in my wife’s good graces by cleaning out a corner of the garage! I hope the waders fit. If you snag a big rainbow below the dam, send me a pic.

Back to knives...the big clip blade and the sheepfoot make such a great combo. The “empty” end of the jack looks funny at first, because your mind is telling you that a blade is missing, since the feel of the knife in hand is pure Stockman.
