Just A Picture - Traditional Picture Show

Thank you Paul! They can be pretty difficult to find nowadays. You might have to attend a few US knife shows to find any. That being said, one might see one pop up in the online auctions from time to time. What's funny is I lived here TN. for nearly 2 years before realizing that Mr. Frank Buster was just 30 miles away from me. And yes, I went and met him, he was a real life character but passionate about pocket knives.

Very cool that you met Mr. Frank Buster, Perry! Here is my only Frank Buster/ Celebrated /Cutlery/Germany.

I thought I would weigh in with this old stag Fight'n Rooster.

That's a beauty right there, GEV! Some pretty stag on there indeed! I like the scale too!

I also love the J.B.F I had the good fortune of dealing with Brad and was able to add one of these beauties

I agree with you Perry---just a fantastic job on these great pocket knives!!!

Thank you, Perry! Your cells got me going;) The old scale was found at an old ranch house I lived at in college.

Most appreciated, my friend. Your pictures really show off the excellent craftsmanship on that JBF. Those knives were all instant classics. Thanks for post all the wonderful shots of it!!

WOW Paul, Great shots you got there!:thumbup: I love the jiggin they did on these, the little bit of lighter green hues showing near the hafting, it does not appear to be typical GEC fair jiggin. Also that deep cut swedge on the main, outstanding!

You were wise to grab it and hold onto it Gev. The old scales are in demand right now and it looks to be early 20th century.

You guys have inspired me to shoot these pics, just now. I don't know if GEC will ever get this close to perfection again.

Just a beautiful knife and picture. I like the braided sweetgrass ( if that is right ?) I have some on my wall right now.

The old scale is a Chatillon's Improved Spring Balance Scale and was patented Jan 26, 1892 and made in New York, U.S.A.

Beautiful shots, Nothing like that German stag, Humppa :thumbup: That doesn't surprise me one bit, Gev! You can almost tell it's turn of the century by the serif font.
Here's a few more shots I just took. Couple of GECs finest #73s from the very first year of production, 2006! 2010 custom rehandled #73 in Mammoth Ivory LL, also a Todd Davison custom slip joint in Burl and of course let's not forget the mighty Charlow Sheepfoot.
Lastly is a 2006 Rogers Green Tea jig bone, man I wish they would make some knives in this bone again!

Thanks Gev & singin50 :)

It was great to walk with Max in any way.

I try to get better outdoor pics of my few Jagdnicker knives ASAP ... they are just too great to hide 'em in the drawer and getting carried and used. The stag handles on each of these knives are awesome to handle / fondle with.

Yes, that Lockback is a very decent piece, thanks for showing them Andi.

Regards, Will

OK Perry....I hope I get an invite the THE PARTY! Wow!!

Love it, Clutch! Who is the maker? Thanks in advance

You are Gev! You're Texan and so am I, from Tyler originally.:D Hey Clutch what kind of material is that, Delrin or Micarta?
