Appreciated Gev! No it was a standard Tidioute but with the corset shield, I dropped it the day I got it on the doorstep...the pile side has a pin crack to show for it... Been asking GEC to re-handle that side (at my cost) for AGES but they keep telling me they carry no stock of handles and I'll have to wait until the next run. Can't accept this actually as they frequently do runs of ivory or similar colour bone, and the 73 is not a rare pattern either.

I really am surprised by that. I don't see why they cant fix it for you. They seem to do a smooth white bone handle on every pattern they make these days. I'd just send it in to them anyways.

I have one of those too although I have never carried it. I didn't take this pic but that's my knife on top.
