Just A Picture - Traditional Picture Show

Triple shot of whiskey... That's how we start our day around here. ;)

Well, I received a new light box from my very thoughtful wife for Christmas, and finally got around to playing with it. Since moving to Florida I haven't been happy with my photos, the light being very different from Missouri. I started with some glam shots and here they are. Any of you good photographers please critique and give suggestions for my improvement. Be ruthless, I want to learn.

Jeff, it looks like you're making good use of this year's Xmas gift already.:thumbsup: Enjoy!
Can you tell us how the stippling was done on the lambfoot? I need something like that on a wooden Victorinox.
And BTW, great pics! Especially of those favorites of mine, the blu-rope boys knife and your stag 74, fantastic! :)

Thanks guys, and that's a stunning trapper, Mike! James, the stippling was done by someone here on BFC, but it didn't turn out quite like I had hoped and I've already forgotten who did the work. It did help some with the grip, but checkering would, I think, have been a better choice.

Thanks for getting back with me on that Jeff. I have the slipperiest Spartan ever and thought stippled Walnut would be an interesting alternative to checkering. Still thinking the project thru.

Nice photographs! I guess one thing is that you could try to not overexpose the blades (in some / some parts of the photos). They often become completely white in photographs because of the glare. It's very difficult to get them show the color of the steel when you have to account everything else in the photo... since you asked to be ruthless. :)
