Further to my "Moss Covered Logs of New Zealand" this country has a breathtaking array of moss, fungus and here we have a most impressive lichen..quite fascinating as I'm sure you will agree

The only problem I faced in achieving this awesome picture is having to travel long distances through fairly unremarkable countryside...
