The ranch boss looks like something Schrade would have produced, not cold steel.
I understand it may actually be a copy of a Schrade folder. My impression is favourable, it is a big folder, larger than the 110, it has a solid liner lock, no blade play, good centering. Faux sawed bone scales but I don’t mind. Good grip, no hot spots. Made in China but nothing is perfect. Blade is thick, flat grind sk-5 carbon steel. It’s assembled with torx screws so I guess it is easy to disassemble if needed. The ranch boss looks like something Schrade would have produced, not cold steel.
What is your impression?
Thanks

Sheath feels like compound leather (?)
Edit: found a video clip with a Schrade Uncle Henry folder which looks like a close ancestor to the Ranch Boss
"OVS" = "Our Very Special"?Max Sao Knives

Your opinion is noted . I've been sharpening ,freehand, recurves with EZ lap combo field sharpeners ( kinda looks like a butterfly knife) . They are diamonds ,and the sharpening surface is only 3/4" wide so the blade actually sits flat . Easy peasy"OVS" = "Our Very Special"?
I know "OVB" stood for/stands for (if the mark is still used) "Our Very Best".
Nice knives.
Tho TBH I personally would pass on the recurve. No advantages for what I do with a knife, and more difficult to sharpen evenly with the stones I have.
Sorry. I'll "shhhh!!! the f up" and go away.
