Just A Picture - Traditional Picture Show

Gevenovich,

^^^ Awesome pics! I love the beauty of the rural regions. Not into cities at all - avoid them like the plague generally.

Thanks very much, Arizona! I tend to gravitate to them myself. Arizona is a favorite place for me as well. I can remember walking though those wonderful landscapes and you bring back the memories! Thank You!!!

Two 73s that don't pop up that often. Yeah, Ive posted this pic twice today but Im happy to finally have these two. :)

willgoy, I love the shape of that one and from the size of the nail nick I am guessing it is a smaller pattern. From the pins I'm assuming it's a slipjoint?

Sonnemann, thanks for the appreciation!

No, not smaller at 4"/10.2cm closed. Blade just over 3.2"/7.8cm. Yes it's a slipjoint. Blade, liners and pins all stainless, Blonde horn which has lighter parts too. Made in Italy in 2007 I got it from the Bay at very low cost as far as I recall. The nail nick is interesting being very wide and set far forward, just right actually as it has a tough spring with fearsome snap but is easy to open because of the careful placement of the nick. I keep it as desk knife or fruit slayer, being Shadow and in horn it might not stand any tough duties but I do like the knife. Got another somewhere but it has a brass bolster and bail.

Regards, Will

Here's my goto Barlow along with a Thiers in Juniper, a strange and unusual knife, and sharp.

Have a great day folks.

Best regards

Robin

Thiers le compact is a great knife, big favourite of mine Robin. I have one in Ebony shown below and LOST one in stag, horror :barf:

Also got the next size up, le compagnon.

They are a great knife Will. Interesting and different, the back spring pin is ??? where? Under the scales? The back spring itself is a marvel with the "key" at the pivot that all but locks the blade. Pretty amazing construction.

Best regards

Robin

That OVB is truly terrific!!

I will do some new Primble cabinet pictures next week and post them.

I have two more small Primbles coming from that same collection and then I should have enough to keep me happy for a while.

The bone on the Pillbuster and Hawkbill are just amazing to my eyes - both are shiny bone and very rich in color - maybe the richest colors I have !!;):D
