Thank you very much, I bought it last year as a Christmas present to myself. The clip blade has developed a nice patina since then

The scales on this look great. (edited, this is not my pic, the "quote" part did not carry though).

Nice one Glenn, I'd never seen a Frontier.

I have two that get alternated in the rotation. One gets more food use and seems to be taking a patina a little better.
I bought them sometime around 1980 at K-Mart, on sale for $3 each. Tossed one in each toolbox and there they've been until a few months ago when I realized they were actually pretty decent knives and deserved some proper TLC. Made by Camillus for Imperial (when they were part of the same company, as well as Schrade).
They are now among my favorites.

That's a fine, classic combo, Barry.

I hope we see the #54 Moose in wormgroove with a clip/wharnie combo at some point.

I like the wharnie OK, but a sheepfoot is more durable, especially the tip. (voice of experience)

Very nice Bighaze! I've never felt a leather scaled knife. Sounds like it be a good feel. What is the length on that Kingston?

Hope you feel better by the way.

Thank you, it's about 2 3/4 inches closed. After applying the superglue, the scales feel similar to buffalo horn scales. It lost some of its "luster" from being carried but is holding up quite well with no signs of deterioration

Yeah, I hear ya. I suppose the blade on the #53 Moose almost borders on being a 'lambsfoot." Doesn't quite have the shoulder of a sheep, but not quite as long and tapered as a true wharnie either:
