I guess many of you have noticed I just started posting lately. I have been on many forums, even know a few of you from them. I really like this place, my friendlier than some other forums. I quit a few this past week. Gets really hard for me to stay when all that's posted is political stuff and conspiracy theories. Thats fine if you're into posting/arguing about it. Or my knife is better than your knife.

Also had many replies to each one of my posts. All with pretty good help/info. I hope I can do the same. Thanks,Steve:)

I'm with you on this one 'Ol Bud, This is my favorite forum, I visit it several times a day:D the guy's here in WSS are great
Thanks also !

I joined this bladeforums to learn more about forging knives, without really looking around that much I was directed to W&SS. I have to say I spend 99.9% of my time here. I have posted once or twice on the other forums here, and I wasn't blown away by the responses. My first post on the W&SS introducing myself ended up being four pages long! There always seems to be immediate, helpful, and overwhelming responses here. It is a great place to be and it is full of awesome people. I am also going to take this opportunity to thank all of you for making this such a great place!

I'll put it another way, a few months ago, I was addicted to trading knives, gear, etc.:) I haven't looked at the sell/trade forums for about a week now!

right on steve.. it's good to have ya here bro...:D

i instantly felt comfortable in this forum, when i first joined... there are a lot of great folks on here... i have learned a lot over the past few years...

You're 100% on the money! I came to BladeForums for the sheath and leather work information, made a couple of posts there, but found myself much more interested in what was happening here in WWS. I still read the sheath forum because I can learn volumes of information and gain new leather working skills with almost every post, but then immediately come over to this board and really get an education!

I read the sheath forums a bit too. Lots of info there as well. I am a hobbie knife maker who needs to learn sheath making or put Mtn.Mike on the payroll!

Hey Steve - Glad to have you here!

I love this place. Of all the forums I'm on this one is the most inviting and helpful. They do really well at weeding out the trolls very quickly which I really like about BF.

Welcome to the forum and all I can say is more of the same. These guys on here are great and very helpful. This place is the "how to" of outdoor knowledge. Very willing to share their knowledge.

Its an awsome place for sure, you'll get your kook's for sure (pit and hollow Im talkin about you!:D)

Everyone is open and willing to share an opinoin, and we're all ready to listen.

You hit the nail on the head, Steve. I found this place by googling altoid psk's, and I stayed for the company. In a way, the geezers really run this place, which is for the best IMO, but all the "braves" get to say their piece if they want to. In a way, it's probably about as close as I'm ever going to get to Native American culture. Experience and wisdom really carry the most weight, and I really like that about this place. You just said it better than I could.

Welcome aboard bladefrienzy. I like this place a lot too. Every once in a while I will stray to other boards but rarely place more than one or two posts elsewhere. The friendliness here and respect across members is genuine. Arguments rarely occur for the sake of arguments and people often will conceded points raised in a debate. In other words, this place displays a bit of intellect but remains situated close to reality and real world experience. Glad to have you around.

Glad you like it here. There's some great folks here and it's a very comfortable place to hang out.

I'm with you on that. A great bunch of kind and smart folks here. I know my families outdoor adventures are more fun and much safer because of the stuff shared here. The only problem is the hundreds of cool projects that grow from here, that sit on my workbenches:)
So many cool things to do, so little time...must slow time...

Bladefrienzy .... you hit the nail on the head. All one needs to do is look at the J.Williams gear replacement thread, in case you didn't already know he is an EMS worker who had the misfortune of having his work gear stolen out of his truck. I've never seen the amount of outpouring of support given to a brother in need as was done there.

Makes me proud to be a BladeForums W&SS member

Hey Steve get the hell off our forum and drag your whiney ass back to booneville, wherever the hell that is !!!!!
