Just A Walk In The Park On A Warm Winter Day

Here's the weather we got last night:

Of course a little hail is nothing compared to the snow storm others had to deal with!

I used to work next to Herman Park and have had a couple of picnics there. Of course that being said, I wouldn't want to walk around there at night by myself.

For those not familiar, Herman Park is Houston's equivalent to New York's Central Park.

Dallas was a lot like that when I last lived there in the late 80s. I saw a few picnics at Bachman lake by Love Field but few anywhere else.

nice pics, man. i know you have closer shots of that girl in pink, don't hold back. feel free to post them here too :D as for that blue painted hand rail, that reminds me of a csi (the las vegas orig one) episode.

Thanks. No unfortunately I do not. I do wish I could have felt more comfortable breaking out the Nikon up there, I'd have better pics of her and of what's going on in that hole. The thing is that parking garage is right across a small park from our local federal building (which I didn't take any pics in that direction even)...FBI, ATF, CIA...all those guys. I figured as a guy with a little point and shoot I'd look like just another tourist, but I thought breaking out an SLR with a zoom lens and pointing it in the wrong direction may cause some worries. I didn't want to go there, I figure those guys have enough to do without wasting our tax money checking me out.

great pics man, I enjoyed the observation!!!!

Thanks bro, glad you enjoyed it.

Y'all are some Voyeurs :)

need more pics into the windows, well since your spying & all :D

LMAO, hell we're a nation of voyeurs..."Survivor", "Big Brother", "Celebrity Big Brother", "Big Brother After Hours" all of the non-reality shows...hell who knows what all else is on the tube since I quit watching it years ago. I just prefer to observe reality :) I think shooting through windows may just be crossing the line  :p

Great pics, man. Way to roll with your inner perv. :D

Woah, this guy is REALLY having a good Valentine's Day. :D

Yeah, it sort of looked like it from where I was too, I was thinking they were some serious exhibitionists lol. The shots were taken free-hand from a walkway behind the rail on the back of the stage. I was on one side taking pics of the park while other folks were on the other side standing on the stage taking pics of the river. That's why the one of the guy kicking the ball is a little bit fuzzy.

I don't know, hale is some crazy stuff. Back in the late 70s when my grandmother retired they went on a cross country trip. Her new Toyota Corolla was totaled by hale some where in NM I think.

Another awesome thread, thank you.

Thanks D, glad you liked it.

These threads are great. They kind of 'take you there' for awhile.

Thanks Brennan, glad you enjoyed it. I've taken lots of short little mental vacations in other people's threads. Glad I can do that for others. Even with what issues this city does have...it's still a pretty nice place to live.

Love the pictures! I almost forgot what the sun looked like. :D

PS: Jimmy Johns = Nom nom nom.

Jimmy John's is the best. Number 9 every time! :)

Oh, and great pictures.

(Sorry, I've been on a diet.)

Until you get a #14 of course. :p

Not a big fan of roast beef on a sandwich. I tried their "Gargantuan" once, just to say I did it, and the roast beef over-powered the entire sandwich.

Never again. I'll stick with the Italian meats.
