Heck of a day today. The little one was feeling under the weather but we had already planned to take her to a small horse ranch owned by a family friend to see some horsies (she loves My Little Pony). We couldn't get her to sit on the horse, so everyone insisted I should hop on and maybe that would get her to sit on the horse with me. Well, she still was too afraid, so next thing I knew I was sitting on a horse that was the smallest one they had looking ridiculous getting walked around the ranch.
Here's me stuck on the poor small horse while my daughter is still visibly uncomfortable:
She did eventually warm up to the horse but only enough to pet her and feed her carrots:
Then we had to zip home because one of our cars had a flat tire and I was supposed to take it in. So while my daughter and GF took a nap I put the spare on, ran the car through a car wash, and took it in to the Wally World auto center to get all 4 tires replaced as they were almost due anyways. Except Wally World told me they had to order my size tires and they wouldn't be in until tomorrow. I was already in my running gear as I wanted to get in a 2 mile run after doing the car, so I called the GF and told her I was just going to leave the car and start running home (about 7 miles away), she agreed to meet me along the way and pick me up when my daughter woke up from her nap. Well, my daughter took like a 3 hour nap and I ended up running all the way home. It's okay though, because this is how I ended my day off:
