I actually found some good ones at a local marine/boat supply place. They had a good selection with a lot of different finish options because they are used in making sails for boats.

Yup, that's right, with Parkour and Longboarding season winding down, I'm gonna have a lot of time for getting out to the woods and cutting stuff with the best knives in the world.

Almost done with the long handled 16 for Dubz. Just need to handle it and put on the final edge, at this point. Maybe do a little more polishing work. All that polishing takes a long time! Then I can start grinding out that new blade for B.Mauser. I'm excited to do that one. It's gonna be a 9/11, which is fitting, since we designed it on 9/11.

tweaking the bike before the race:
aaaaaand my Inova X1 came while I was away.
I broke my non-rolling rule since I figured this would be tethered to my city bag and it's made in my state.
It has high/low, momentary, and lock-on. Build quality feels good, and the beam looks good to me. It takes a single AA.
Now I have to put a split-ring or lanyard of some kind on it so it won't roll (I really hate that - maybe I'll call up the company since we're neighbors...)
The High mode is significantly brighter than my surefire 6PLED, but the low mode is dimmer. Inneresting.

I got a new project this weekend, an older Coleman lantern for a few bucks at a yard sale. I can't wait to dig out the fuel and a little oil for the pump and give it a shot.
Oh, I also scored an old Fall's City bottle opener at a booth at my town's heritage festival on Sunday. I think my BK11 has been dethroned as my favorite bottle opener.
