Just an Idea for the Buck Vantage Line

I might have to try that and dye a Vantage lime green. Did you ever get around to dyeing a green Vantage, KSK?

I agree with the colored Vantages. I could easily see this being Buck's version of Spyderco's colored Delica/Endura lines or Benchmade's Griptilian line. The different colors and great basic knife pattern make this knife an attractive and friendly option for new knife buyers. Plus flipper knives are fun =P
I am afraid not at the moment. I was looking around and could not find a lime/toxic green type color. I was hearing that if you mix 2:1 aqua blue and yellow, that you can get a type of bright green, so I may have to try that out.

Fun to dream. Anything you can imagine is possible. Good and bad.

My dream: Clear handles on all folders and all fixed blades. Clear. Bulletproof glass is my choice of materials for clear handles because not only is it clear but it is robust so it can take a licking and keep on, well, you already know.

I would love some options for knife scales, different coloured g10, wood, etc for this knife.

Took apart my vantage to make an attempt at making wood handles for it. That failed due to attemping to drill the holes by hand(no drill press) so just not quite right fit and lineup rendered the blade very stiff to open close or way off center to the point of rubbing the frame. Anyway i lost the blade stop pin inside the pivot, called Buck to try to get a replacement and they said no, they wont do that as its an internal part. They wanted me to send all the parts in and they would reassemble along with a 10 dollar fee and unknown wait time. I took a cheapskate way out and made the part out of a machine screw on a bench grinder. Works great but now have to oil up the pivot more often as that pin can rust. I still want some nice figured wood to go on it.

My son and I got two of these customized Buck 110 blades with bulletproof see-through handles from Leroy R. Remer (L. R.) at the Buck 25th BCCI. My son was bitten by them.:D They are wicked lightweight vs. a regular Buck 110.

How about mix the Vantage Pro (S30V) Desert Tan G-10 handles with the other two steels (420HC BOS/13C26 Sandvik)? Same parts different knives.

Possibly, I think that is what they did on the ATAC. It is GRN with a diffent pattern and S30V steel.

Really great. the dyed and the stag and bone and clear.

i can live with black...just wish buck would offer a larger blade version. only reason i dont carrry mine more is i need a larger blade more often than not. bucks done about all ya could with the vantage line. different steels, versions etc.....but no larger size. oh well......
