Just an Old Cheap Barlow Knife

All of the older Imperial marked barlows that I have seen were carbon....EXCEPT for the ones with the Diamond Edge logo made by Imperial...that whole line was SS.

What I have bears out what you've said knifeaholic. My Barlow is late and is indeed SS & I've a DE Stockman with painted wood scales which is also SS. Both knives are fom the Irish factory.

I have an identical Barlow that was just given to me by my Mother after my Dad passed earlier this year. This Barlow was one of his favorites, and the value to me in now owning it is "Priceless." Even though I realize this thread started several years ago, the information on it has been very valuable. Thank you for all the information.
