Just An Old Fashioned Hose Job

Wow. Thank you, valleytinworks, I'll keep that in mind. What a nice gesture.

Makes me sick in my guts to think of that (insert expletive) taking advantage of her while with the boys. My son is in the army, and they played that trick "we've got your driver's license" on him not long ago. By the time they were done, he was way over his head. A couple years later, the truck is long gone, but he still has payments. It must take a special kind of guy to get over on people, and then look himself in the mirror the next day. The Bible specifically addresses guys like that. :thumbdn:

I made a decision about this today. We have a lawyer. I can say no more, right?

I saw it clearly in my mind's eye; she was tired, had the kids and long drive. No one completely understands all the rigamaroll they trot out to cook the books (contract) I can see her lost face just wanting to accept the regular price (which is no small reward for the salesman) get it done and get out of there. She needed this vehicle to navigate the mountains and seasons to work. The kids were hungry and this needed to get done. They kept her there from afternoon till mid evening with 'just five more minutes'.

I made a decision today. We are not litigious. We go out of our way to accept and take disapointments and misunderstanding. I, and all of us, do it all the time on this forum and everywhere else. This time I'm going to act. It was unneccesary and pointless other than the gold to be gained.

Keep doing what you're doing, but Hertz is one of the car rental companies that takes care of their cars. Between myself and the rest of my family we own 5 Ford Taruses that we have bought from Hertz.
I don't know the details, but keep up and get the bastards if they tooled you around.

Sorry to hear about all that, Munk. Seems like you are holding your temper pretty well, so...

Don't know what the laws are like up there, but down here you definately have a "buyer's regret" period or somesuch. Doesn't sound like your situation has a whole lot to do with regret, though. Wish I could say I had never heard a story like that before.

Just infuriating. Let us know how it washes out.

Here in Ohio, you have a three (business) day right of recision on any contract: loan, car purchase, home sale, etc. I certainly think you have a case given that they didn't give you full disclosure on the car. Good luck.
