Just an update with my nephew in Afghanistan and his new RC-3MIL

Maybe the guys at RAT could set it up and we could have a donation fund and they could make a special Blade forums design to engrave or something and that way they could number them and personalize them to the cause. I don't have a bunch of cash either but I would be more than happy to sponsor a RAT for a soldier once my tax return comes in. It would be cool if they knew who got them the knife too. For instance, when I sponsor a RAT I get to know which number I sponsored and who it goes to, the soldier gets to know who sent it, the board that is sponsoring the program and becomes a RAT lover...it might inspire some new friendships and more care package exchanges after the knife thingy.

The only correct response is to send your nephew an Izula. He has a "best knives in the platoon" standard to maintain now, after all.

It's not easy being "The Man"...

That's sweet. Awesome story. Hope they all get one and like it.

I think the Army should make the RC-3MIL a standard issue.

as a followup from the good Capt's suggestion, why not set up an option for the monthly giveaway - the winner can either keep the knife or have it donated to a grunt (or marine, sailor or airman) overseas?
