Shortly after my first CRK, Mnandi impressed me so much, I got a small Sebenza 21. I was extremely happy with it, but the blade sitting slightly off-center was bugging me a little.

I sent them an email asking if there is a way to adjust it, and Heather promptly suggested to send it in. She followed up shortly after receiving my knife, ran with Chris, assured me everything will be alright and told me I don't even owe them return shipping. (I'm pretty sure the condition of the blade was within any companies' CQ tolerance.)

I just got my Seb back 10 minutes ago. Perfectly centered blade, even smoother action (probably I'm imagining this one), they even put a new lanyard and packed the knife extremely well for the return.

I've heard so much about their excellent customer service, but I really can't be any happier after experiencing the service myself.

Yes, Original blade. It has a distinctive mark from tumble process so I could tell easily.

I think they swapped or modified the copper pivot washer(s) and refitted the blade. Obviously no play of any direction, and it's perfectly centered now. :)

I would expect nothing less from CR knives. After having met Chris and Ann Reeves at Blade Show last year I have the utmost respect for Chris and his company. The Nyala that I picked up at Blade last year has quickly worked its' way into my EDC. When I start thinking about new purchases CR knives generally get first consideration.

Has there ever been an explanation for the blades being off center? I would imagine the only possible reason is the washers arent all the perfect size. Mine is not centered, but it has never bothered me because the blade doesn't rub and everything about the knife is perfect. Wont ever send it in unless the blade starts to rub, but it certainly doesn't change over time.
