All the hype is for real - great quality knife!

Congrats. My Sebbie's never leave my pocket. All my other knives have taken a back seat to them.

Congrats! Pmek. I was thinking about picking up a small but don't own a large either. Do you find the small handles most tasks fairly well? Great pictures too :thumbup:

Congrats on a great knife! The titanium scales look a little lighter than normal. Maybe it's just the lighting?

SPYfanman - I have to honestly say that the small was bigger than I anticipated. I have looked at lots of pictures & videos, and thought it would be smaller. There is a Youtube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GN9nN1wnD8) that talks about the small Sebenza being to small, but that guy has larger hands than I do. For my smaller hands, it's perfect. The lanyard that comes with it also helps.

Also, to answer post by "anzpos531" - the scales are much darker than the picture shows.

I have big hands and have no problems with my small sebenza. I actually prefer it over the large.
On the small, figure 4" x 1" handle. Not really as small as one might think.

Ahh, you make some great points. One of the reasons the small really appeals to me is the weight. I own an Umnumzaan - to which is a fabulous knife - but still able to feel its weight in the pocket. I read and re-read post after post regarding the small vs. large seb debate and honestly it leaves one even more confused. :confused: It seems many say go with a large but I can see the advantages of both. Yet the Mnandi thrown into the mix really stirs things up as the size of it and small are almost the same. I am beginning to think the only way to really know for sure is to have and try all and see which one gets the most usage - not a totally practical possiblity for many (including me):rolleyes:

Lots os Sebenza's share the same birthday and a NEW fine steel;

CPM-S-35-VN Yummy! Happy Birthday Brother!!

Peace.

Great Pictures there Brother! Congrats on your first. I am sure that it will not be the last...

Very nice... interesting your thoughts that the 'small is bigger than you thought' it would be.

Try the large next :-)

Just a little follow up since receiving a week ago: I have since removed the clip, and installed the clip insert. I did that because I also purchased the calfskin pocket slip sheath; which is my perferred carry right now. The calfskin sheath protects the knife a little more in my pocket from other stuff I may carry. Great knife!

For me, a small Seb clipless or with a clip insert is the perfect pocket carry for business slacks. I wish CR offered a "no clip" option on the smalls. You made an excellent choice!

I also carry my small with no clip in a crk slip pouch. It fits perfect in my front jeans pocket and with my attached leather lanyard its easy enough to just stick my hand in my pocket and pull out my knife. Best part about it is I edc my small everyday and theres no scratches or scuffs on the ti. Thinking about getting one of those inserts.
