Well, yesterday I finally was able to buy a great knife from Scott of Razorback Knives.

This knife is razor sharp, the handles are big and beefy, even the sheath is superb! I had seen his knives at a gun show several months ago, and really went nuts over a huge camp knife just like the one I bought, and of course the one I bought yesterday. Not only is Scott a great knifemaker, he is a helluva nice guy, and knows a lot about knifemaking and knives in general. I was also relieved to see that there were other knife nuts out there, as he proceeded to show me all the knives he carried, and I showed him the ones I carry
. I am proud to say that this knife is only the second custom I have bought in my life. I'm also very proud to say that when I showed this knife to my father, he looked like he was going to take it from me. He immediately unsheathed it, and said, Now thats a knife! While my father loves guns, most knives are just tools, he does have an appreciation for them, but he's no knife nut. Scott, this knife really knocked his socks off, which meant a lot to me. He really liked it and said something akin to, You should be buying knives like that, instead of all those factory made knives.
I didn't get a chance to play with it, I really think that this knife is not meant to be played with, but to be put to hard labor! Anyway, this afternoon and tomorrow, this knife will be out in the field, literally, hacking at everything!
