Hey guys!
So I just purchased a military and it should be here by the end of the month
Do you guys like this knife?
If not, tell me why.

Thanks!

no. that's why i bought only two and probably not more than 5 for as long as i live (i'm already kinda old.)

It's an excellent larger folder. Lightweight, great ergonomics, slices like crazy. Just don't ask me to choose between my M390 Millie and my M390 710. :D

Seriously, if you like carrying a larger knife, I think you'll love it.

I've got the CF/M390 version and it is a really good knife IMO, it carries light, it's thin, and it slices effortlessly. which version did you get jasperjb? I'm on the hunt for an orange one now.

love the millie, I'm up to 3 now. At first I thought it might be too big, and that the Para2 was just right. Once I got the millie, the Para2 seems a bit small, and the millie is just right. :)

Hi Jasperjb,

Welcome to the Spyderco forum.

Hope you can get it in ok. Oz has been funny lately.

Hi Jasper -

Yes - a great all around knife - the thinner blade makes it great for slicing, and it's easy to clean, has a great handle to hold onto, locks up solid with no worries.

In short, a great knife!

The tip is thin and what makes it a great slicer also makes you NOT pry with this knife - it's a cutting tool!

I wish it came with a low-ride pocket clip, but my version has a nice polished stainless clip that looks great, so no big deal.

Congrats and post pics when you get your Military!

When I got my first Military, the handle seemed a little too big and bloated. You do get over that though.

It doesn't shrink so much, but you start thinking: "this is kinda nice".

The military is my current EDC and all around favorite blade. I have had a Chris Reeve Umnumzaan, a strider SNG, emersons, and a bunch of diffrent customs but the Military always beats them out of my pocket. Tons of blade for little weight. Thinking of picking up a titanium mili and getting it pimped because i like it so much. Am hoping for another sprint run soon!

Oz? What's that?

Australia, they have strict laws about importing knives, and if the knife fails their flick test it could be confiscated.

edit: jasper, If its not too late to contact the seller I would recommend you see if they would be willing to tighten down the pivot of your knife before they ship it. That would greatly improve your chances.

I purchased my first millie this year, the CF/m390. My first thought when it came out of the box was "It's HUGE!" I too am waiting for more sprint runs. It is a great knife and I will own more than one.

I love the millie. I just bought the titanium version, it's by far my favorite style of the military. I hope you enjoy yours!

i'm convinced now: titanium is the best for clipped pocket carry. i'll never clip an frn or g-10 in my pocket. too much trouble. two ti millies and countring. :D

Hi there Sal.

I was worried about that too considering the new laws that came in December, so I paid a few extra bucks for one in Australia so it doesn't have to pass any customs. From what I can see on the Australia Post website it's already in my town, so I should have it today or tomorrow.
P.S, you're not the Sal Glesser are you?

Thanks for the concern Pry, but I ordered this one from inside Australia! :) no annoying customs for me :D.
