  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Just bought a new Paramilitary 2. Is it fake? Many high res detailed pictures inside.

Well the seller has 1500 seller rating. 100% positive feedback. No sign of any fake stuff that he's selling. Is there an authorized dealer I could take this thing to have it checked out?

It's real, every detail looks identical to my black digi cam I got from authorized dealer.

With the general consensus here being positive, I would feel safe about it. What you can do, as I did for a PM2 I received from an unauthorized dealer, is send in the pictures and video to Spyderco customer service. I sent in a few key pictures, and they confirmed the authenticity for me - nothing more reassuring than that.

If Spyderco is willing to do that, I agree, and good on them for taking the time to do it.

I wanted a PM2 too, and I waited until BladeHQ had them in stock...
Looks legit to me, I'm just sick of seeing this question asked about this knife every single day.

I think the knife looks legit but for the record there are sellers on the Bay selling verified counterfeit Spydercos that have equally good customer feedback. That auction site has become overrun with fraud.

Already got a reply from Spyderco customer service. They said my knife looks 100% from the pictures except for one thing. They don't put desiccant packets in their boxes. I asked the seller what the deal was with the packet in the box, and he assured me that he puts them in all his knife boxes that he sells for safe measure. I believe the guy, and will give him the benefit of the doubt. Do the chinese knock offs have desiccant packets inside their boxes? Is this something I should be aware of? I looked at some of his past sales, and he had a buck knife and a benchmade that he sold that also had the same brand desiccant packets in them. So seems like his story does add up.

I am confident with Spyderco saying that the knife looked 100% that it's real. Just the whole desiccant packet thing threw me for a loop.

Man I don't know if all this anxiety you seem to be having about the knife was worth the money you saved!

Didn't really save any money. Just couldn't find the thing in stock for a while.

Bought one from sooner state knives, had my suspicions until reading here...also just bought a brown pm2 (s35vn) from www.lighthound.com it is super smooth and appears real. Has anyone ever bought from Lighthound or sooner state knives, please tell me they are reputable dealers! Any input is appreciated.
