Just bought a Surefire E1

FWIW, the TACM is already pretty waterproof - enough at least for swimming pool use. The diving version, I believe, has either a double o-ring setup like the SureFire M2 or uses a slightly larger o-ring to better seal out H2O.

I was warned by the manufacturer when ordering that its quite a bit stiffer to twist on/off. Since I don't dive, I opted for the regular TACM III light.

Sheesh, John H. and I cross cyber-roads again! Sheesh - Glocks, knives AND tactical flashlights! You wouldn't also happen to like Barry Manilow, would you, John?

Oops, forgot to answer Bucky's questions...

Let's see... Streamlight Scorpion to me = Yuck!

The spot is more like a spotlight that one might see in live theater. I recently switched the lamp/reflector out and the new one has a more noticable pattern inside the spot.

Still bright as heck, of course. The contrast to a SureFire spot is that the faceted reflector of the latter creates a more diffused of light across the who spot...

The rubber piece IS something that I put one myself. It's called a "Woobie" and comes with the Mad Dog Labs' belt holder for 1" diameter flashlights; see upper left of picture:

I'm sorry I didn't clarify about CDNN Investments - I'm pretty sure they sell the lights; I'm not so sure if they have it one their website. Another source are the folks at Delta Force - the dudes in Arkansas, not the Greenie Beanies, of course!

Okay, I just got my E1, very nice small (make that tiny) light! Good brightness and great size! Yes, I like Glocks, Knives and tactical lights! Not a BM (that is Barry) fan...
