Just bought a Techno

I love mine! It kicked the Sage 2 out of my pocket. It's a bit short, but the build really makes up for it.
I'm sure some will disagree, but I much prefer it to a small sebenza.

I could not agree more.. I prefer it to the small sebbie.. it is smaller, but feels bigger..

Plus, the steel is a significant upgrade.. I love CRK'S.. but a few points of hardness makes a big difference..

Techno is a solid edc.. I won't be selling this one.. Rather getting a back up!

Just got my Techno in the mail today and I really like it. :D The stonewashed titanium with the blue back spacer is very sharp. Build quality is top notch like usual. Very stout blade and it is irresponsibly sharp. The detent is really strong though, I need thumbs of steel to deploy. I am sure that will loosen over time. Me like....

I got to handle one for the first time the other day. It was used and not in the best shape. But I was very impressed with the knife. I think I'll wait when for the next run and purchase a new one.
I noticed something interesting when examining the knife. The tang is not ground to its full width. My Nilakka has the same curious feature. I had never seen this before on a liner/frame lock. I wish Spyderco would share the reason for this design.

Didn't notice that, but mine is the same way.

I'm curious as to what you mean. I've got both knives.
I wonder if you could state it a different way, or illustrate w/ a picture?

Where the lockbar hits the tang.
You can see in the 4th and 7th photos posted by Yablanowitz.

Thanks for the clarification, AF...

Now I see what you're talking about. Thickness as opposed to width.
I suspect it's a function of the quite thick blade stock of the Techno and the Nilakka. Those two blades are considerably thicker than, say, a Sebenza or a Leafstorm.
What amounts to a bevel on the tang of the thicker blade knives, is very similar in scale to the single-angle grind across the full thickness of the thinner knives.

Interesting detail. (And a good eye, there, Holmes.) :D
I like the purposeful looks of it. Just enough angle to get the job done.
I wonder if other chunky blades, like Striders, carry the same detail.

This thread is killing me. I didn't order one in the first run of 'em and am now regretting it.

Received mine last week, its a fantastic well built edc for all those daily odds and sods. In most cases, the locals and the law should have no problem with it.
With a full size Sebenza or a Spyderco Stretch as back up :p its all the knives, one really needs.

Keep an eye out on here. They pop up on the exchange. Ill look for you too. People love or hate them. I love it!

It's a superb knife. After a couple of months of use, I love it even more.
There's not a thing wrong with this knife. And the XHP is amazing: holds an edge through hard use, and sharpens back up in a jiffy.
It's shorter than the small seb, but the stout handle fills the hand nicely.

Very nice pics of Techno.:)

I've been eyeballing this little guy, I hate threads like this, the wife is about to kill me...

Mine goes in the mail on Friday, Is it really that "lefty" unfriendly??
I saw a video, and they said it is manageable?

Mine was a little stiff at first, but smoothed out nicely.

It is pretty easy for me to flick open with the middle finger on my left hand.
