Just Bought Peanut Lighter!

I've actually been playing around with those small key-chain spy-capsules Lee Valley sells. I filled one with lighter fluid and have it on my keychain next to my peanut.

No leakage problems and its been a few months.
Might buy some bigger ones from EDC dot com to use as a lighter fluid "auxillary tank", lol!
:D

Doc nice mod on the Zippo!
I might try that with one of mine!

Hey try taking that rubber band off with cold hands! :D that sounds harder....

Maybe with your knife..........

In regards to a BOB...

it raining, its cold your life depends on it, but what? your zippos dry!!!! now you have to use your precious, life depending time, to fill it!!! not fun!
BG, I'm not trying to detract from your peanut lighter if that's what you like. I like them too. If I'm going outdoors, in cold weather, the first thing I would do is fill my lighter. I also carry a Doan mag bar with me 24/7 and I can do bow drill and hand drill, so I think I'd be ok. I also have a mini PSK in which is a modified lantern lighter. Now, if I only I had some money.............
Besides, you wouldn't have to fill it, only pour some fluid on the wick.

And surviving is what you have on you (usually) how often do you carry a can a fluid with you? I do know of those portable fuild containers though. might as well get a peanut... THERE CHEAPER!:D
See above.

That came about for 2 reasons. The first is that I had one of those outdoor Zippos with a lanyard connected to the lid hinge. It broke! (Actually that happened years ago, and I only sent it in a couple of weeks ago for repair - I guess when you rush things, that's when you make mistakes ) So, I wasn't impressed with that set up.

The second reason is that I was given a Zippo table lighter and since I don't have any tables to light, I removed it from the stand. I was then left with a hole on the bottom of the lighter. Inspiration struck and you saw the result. That baby isn't going to come undone any time soon.

Hey guys i got it!!! Its freaking amazing! I am making a necklace out of it :p

But i do agree cold hands or a intense situation, it wouldn't be fun lighting it...

I just have a question. I didn't Check how long the wick is before filling it... how long is the wick???

Can't help you there. I never pulled mine out, but when/if it goes, I'm sure a regular Zippo wick would work. Actually I have a spare 'guts' to it. I got 4 lighters and 5 'guts'. I gave away 3 and kept one for myself.

Not sure about the County Comm ones, but the ones Doc has are the same ones I sell, and the wick is ~1.25":
