Just Curious What You'd Do

Actually that's what I've been doing recently, take it out of the safe at night to put it by the bed, lock it back up in the morning. Well, most nights that's what I do. I sure feel uneasy those nights I've forgotten to get it out before I go to bed, but I'm too lazy to get up again to go get it.

I have to agree with many of you, if someone was to invade my home, or threaten my family, he shouldn't expect to see his home again. But I may be a little more old fashioned :) I like to have a firearm around for the ladies here to use (yes, I taught them how to shoot properly), but I have one of my own swords. In talking with some ATF friends of mine, it was mentioned that in close quarters a knife is as good as a gun. it was also mentioned that if a gunman is rushed he will nearly always freeze, because you are not acting like you should. It is also easier to check a sword swing than a bullet.
