Just curious

Good question!!

How many Lg. plain, sm. plain and Umfaans?

Woods?

Decorateds?

Ones with damascus blades????

Please let us know!

We actually do not have difinitive numbers, and especially not broken down by the categories suggested. I could spend a lot of time looking through sales history to get reasonably accurate figures but, to be honest, I don't have the time to do such an exercise!

Chris made the very first Sebenzas in 1988 when we were still in South Africa and his estimate is that, including all the variations - large, small, Umfaan, original, regular, Classic, Nica, different decorations, different blade materials - there have been around 12,000 Sebenzas made. This is a gut-feel number and so please don't hold our feet to the fire over it!!

The wood inlay knives are the only category that we can give reasonably accurate numbers - 60 large and 60 small in 1999 and we are about half way supplying the scheduled 60 of each for 2000.
