so, honestly i couldnt care less what either of thse are worth or the brand because the top one is perfect feel and hods great edge so far and bottom one looks awesome. Just wondering if anyone can identify them. the top one i cant find any brand markings on but it full tang. bottom one says "ring japan" on it. yes the top one has a sawback

The top one is probably made in the U.S. by Cardinal in late 1940's - early 1950's - based on the distinctive "melted" pommel that Cardinal used.

The bottom was one of many such imported during that same period. Earliest ones were from Germany.

Thanks for the help dude. I still can't find info on bottom yet but your estimate has helped. The $10 I paid for each seems to be well worth it to me
