In two of the most recent threads here that involve the non-shipment of goods or refunds and the attempted outright theft of some knives both of the guilty parties referred to their families as part of their defense/explanations of bad or even illegal behaviour.

Is having children supposed to be reassuring to customers that have been lied to and had goods stolen from them?

I don't get it...

"I've fathered two children therefore I didn't steal from you..." Really?

It is always easier to deflect some of the heat off to a wife/girlfriend or garner a bleeding heart ot two by mentioning you have children (sick kids even better)

It is pretty common for the scammer to claim his significant other is to blame because she was supposed to ship, labeled the package wrong, lost or forgot to get tracking or put the package in her unlocked car and had to stolen from her watch.

Reality is that none of that means squat, deliver the goods or take 100% of the blame.......................

The scammers definitely follow a script and a game plan.

The ripoffs they try here are the same ones used in any other walk of life.

If you read and connect the dots on the exchanges that have gone wrong the red flags start popping up.

This is so true!
I remember a scamming maker's daughter went for surgery about 17 times.
Also, the wives of these guys can't do anything right.......they lose tracking numbers, forget the package when they leave for the PO, incorrect info on shipping labels.......

is this the lying scumbag ?

You cold hearted people-have you no pity for the plight of the poor scammer :)
Just little tricks to build trust, gain sympathy, explain delays and maybe avoid you filing charges
As we have recently seen, the delay excuse plays an important part in their scheme. They don't want you to take the action of stopping the shipment in route.

I lived in a trailer and had a 15 year old kid also, WHAT'S YOUR POINT?

And see how YOU turned out.....sitting around the grill drinking with old farts like me, talking about knives....the shame..... :p

I lived in a trailer with my father after my parents were divorced. You have to do what you have to do, until you think you have to scam people like this James Hurrey appears to have done.

I liked my trailer in the trailer park. Nicest and most helpful neighbors I ever had. So much for the stereotype. Maybe the $400 a month lot rent was pertinent.

Back to the OP...nobody ever eats their own homework!

One of our long-running "failure to deliver" threads featured an even better gimmick. An unexpected adoption. Hey, what do you do when you have no kids to hide behind? Pick up a spare.
