I was comparing the blades on my SBD Mini Tempest bowie to my WE Chimera (the blades are very close in resemblance btw lol) and the Mini tempest slipped out of my hand and luckily my heel caught it. Man it looks like a crime scene. I got it all wrapped up probably need to go get some stitches in the morning. Damn my luck...

Hope it doesn't affect your work.
Now, what did you learn?

No I don't believe I did just fell tip first went at an angle and missed my house slippers lol. But I definitely know the move you're talking about haha

We're you going for a kick save? I tend to do that instinctively, but I am not sure if I can stop myself if it is a knife.
Actually now that I'm thinking about it, I got a fairly good cut on my hand a while back while flipping my Hoback Sumo. It flipped out of my hand and my reaction was to grab it before it hit the tile floor 🤣. So yeah I've actually went for the grab save !

Yeah... maybe.
One time the red stuff was leaking out, but I was having too much fun to waste in the ER, so I had my student nurse friend patch it up. She did a great job. But when I got around to going to the doctor, he said, "If you had come in right away, we'd have stitched it up. It's too late now, and you'll probably end up with a scar."

So if you haven't gone in to the doctor yet, you'll probably get a scar, and your aspirations to become a foot model are over.

I have learned the hard way to move out of the way of my falling knives and not try catching them. The hard way.
Your Kung Fu is better than His Kung Fu.

Doing nothing is sometimes doing More.

*Glad the OP wasn't seriously hurt.

Happened to me with an XM24 and the front of my foot. I'm used to catching stuff with my foot from many years of handling cameras and lenses.

Hope you heal quickly !
