Yeah I'm just going to use some of those butterfly bandages and the medical super glue stuff. I've got plenty of battle wounds over the years. I've got a story for every one of themYeah... maybe.
One time the red stuff was leaking out, but I was having too much fun to waste in the ER, so I had my student nurse friend patch it up. She did a great job. But when I got around to going to the doctor, he said, "If you had come in right away, we'd have stitched it up. It's too late now, and you'll probably end up with a scar."
So if you haven't gone in to the doctor yet, you'll probably get a scar, and your aspirations to become a foot model are over.
My goodness I cringed as I read this and seen the picture. There's nothing worse when something dumb happens and it has you down for weeks. I appreciate the kind wordsHeel wounds are no fun. Not a knife, but I had a section of my uncle's aluminum dock get me in the back of the heel while removing it for the summer a couple years back.. we had a support section unbolted from the others.. i had my back turned to it while working on unbolting another section.. my uncle's neighbor nudged the unbolted support piece and it fell into the water, clipping me in the achilles on its way down.. didn't even see it coming, and didn't really even feel anything more than like a "bump" on the back of my heel.. thought little of it really until my uncle noticed me bleeding everywhere. Fortunately, it didn't knick anything important and I could still walk alright; just left a nice flap of skin hanging.. ten stitches and about six weeks of wearing only crocs later, it finally healed up ok.
Hope your heel wound heals up nicely hvactech! Be patient, movement from walking can hinder the healing process; it may take some time, but you should be good as new soon enough.. also.. crocs are your friend.
Knife related..

You can see one of the sections that fell on me in the background. Hahah I still have a bit of PTSD over it and you can be d@mn sure I've known exactly where my heel is in relation to unbolted sections of dock every summer since!![]()
Too funny! I instinctively go into goalie mode whenever I drop something and think -- in slow motion -- as the item drops, "Is this gonna hurt?" A pleathora of tools/items over the years. We're you going for a kick save? I tend to do that instinctively, but I am not sure if I can stop myself if it is a knife.
When I was a kid, a scar was a badge of honor. But when I got around to going to the doctor, he said, "If you had come in right away, we'd have stitched it up. It's too late now, and you'll probably end up with a scar."

Hydrogen peroxide works wonders on blood stains. Works best before it dries. That's after my wife scrubbed the carpet. Guess who will be using the carpet cleaner tomorrow??

You’re that guy in the John Wick movies that call to clean up the bodies arent you?Hydrogen peroxide works wonders on blood stains. Works best before it dries.
Hydrogen peroxide is a bleach, as in "bleached blonde". It gets rid of the red color of blood and is great for loosening things that are stuck together by dried blood, but it leaves traces of blood behind that are easily detectable on any police TV show. Hydrogen peroxide may also remove color from a carpet. You’re that guy in the John Wick movies that call to clean up the bodies arent you?
